Please note that you can contact us by email or by telephone, but we recommend by email. And for several reasons. First, you can send an email at any time, day or night, and we can respond to that email at any time, day or night. Second, a telephone call requires us to be at the telephone and awake and not otherwise engaged. It is rare to get all three of those connditions at the same time. By that I mean that our normal office hours are from about 2 in the afternoon to about 2 in the morning, Monday through Friday, and by appointment on the weekend. This does not mean that you should never call unless it is during those hours, but it does mean that if you call outside of those hours you should be prepared to leave a message and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. It also means that most of what we do around here is of a serious legal nature. We have to be very careful what we say to people and we spend A LOT of time researching before we say it to them. Obviously, we must be able to concentrate on specific issues until we have accompolished the amount of research and thought necessary for us to feel comfortable addressing a particular situation. This means that, sometimes, even when we are sitting next to the telephone, we will not answer it until we reach a point where we can take a break from what we are doing. I am sure you can understand this, and I KNOW you appreciate it when we get back to you with the information you need at the level of detail you need it. So be prepared to leave a message.
