If you are beginning to awaken from your politically-induced slumber, you are already aware that there
is "something wrong" with the so-called income tax in America. You may even have learned enough to conclude
that the so-called income tax is an indirect excise tax and NOT a tax on your paycheck, but merely a tax on
revenue-taxable activities.
"The income tax is, therefore, not a tax on income as such. It is an excise tax with respect to certain
activities and privileges which is measured by reference to the income which they produce. The income is
not the subject of the tax: it is the basis for determining the amount of the tax."
(House Congressional Record, March 27, 1943, page 2580)
If so, you are several major steps ahead of your family and friends. This means that if you talk with your
family and friends about these issues, they simply will not comprehend what you are talking about. You can
make any claims you want, and offer any facts you have learned, but they will almost certainly look at you
as if you are insane and then suggest that you will probably end up in jail.
Your next step was almost certainly to talk with any people you know who many would call "Patriots" just
because these were the only people who seemed to know what you were talking about. You might even have
gone to your computer and looked for Patriot groups that seemed to understand what you said and agreed with
you. These people probably even referred you to websites and email groups that you could join and receive
many emails a day with information that opened your eyes even further.
Naturally, your first reaction was to inform your family and friends about these groups and the information
you were gathering from them. Of course, your family and friends almost certainly looked at you with even
more concern in their eyes, suggesting that you were going to get arrested, or that you were somehow
violating some Biblical principle, for just believing these things, much less talking about them.
We know exactly what you are talking about -- we experienced the same looks and comments from our families
and friends.
We can't help you convince your family and friends that you are not crazy or Satanic or destined for jail.

But we can help you avoid some problems as you put into motion your conclusions that the so-called income tax
does not apply to you. There are serious issues in force here, and serious problems can await you as you implement
your beliefs. We can help you escape the grip of the IRS.
